Helena Papadopoulos is a curator, writer, and the founder of Radio Athènes. She thinks a lot about what her contemporaries make, but is also interested in flashbacks and eclipses, and in approaching exhibitions as unfinished projects in the sense that everything is “to be continued” and take another form: a book, a record, a conversation, a trip, a friendship, another text. She works closely with artists and artists’ estates to create a stage where materials and ideas can perform.
Recent exhibitions at Radio Athènes include Beatrice Bonino: The opposite of low-hanging fruit and HER featuring works by Marysia Paruzel, Josephine Pryde, Marietta Mavrokordatou, Esther Theaker, and George Tourkovasilis (2025).
The evolving archive of Radio Athènes can be explored through its sister sites— designed by David Reinfurt—www.radioathenes.tv, www.radioathenes.org, and via the Contemporary Art Library
