Anthony Huberman is the director of Giorno Poetry Systems in New York. He has previously directed the CCA Wattis Institute for Contemporary Arts in San Francisco (2013-2023) and the Artist's Institute in New York (2010-2013) and curated numerous exhibitions (Contemporary Art Museum Saint Louis, Palais de Tokyo, Sculpture Center, New York). The conversation will focus on the history of Giorno Poetry Systems, founded in 1965 in New York by the poet, artist, and activist John Giorno (1936-2019), and on the artistic program that Huberman is building with this singular heritage in close collaboration with visual artists, poets, and musicians.
